Split AC Repair in Panchkula

90-DAY SERVICE GUARANTEE & WARRANTY TERMS

What do we mean by "Service"?

For the purpose of this service, "Service" means preventive maintenance and cleaning of the appliance. It does not mean that the appliance is guaranteed against future electrical, electronic or mechanical failures.

For an Air Conditioner, servicing is a preventive maintenance process intended to clean the unit, remove accumulated dust and dirt, maintain proper airflow and help improve its operating performance.

Servicing/cleaning alone does not constitute a repair of an existing electrical or mechanical fault and does not provide a warranty against future or unrelated failures.

Inspection Before Service

  • The technician will inspect the AC before commencing service.
  • Where reasonably possible, apparent faults or abnormal operating conditions will be identified.
  • If any fault or defective component is found, the customer will be informed before any repair work is started.
  • No repair or replacement will be carried out without customer approval.

Testing After Service

  • If no repairable fault is identified and only servicing is performed, the AC will be tested after completion.
  • The customer will be requested to verify cooling performance and overall operation.
  • Payment will be collected after successful completion and customer verification of the service.

Future Electrical or Mechanical Failures

Servicing does not provide a warranty against new, unrelated or subsequently developing electrical, electronic or mechanical faults.

If an electrical or mechanical fault develops after servicing, including within the next few days, such fault will not automatically be treated as a service warranty claim.

The fault will be inspected separately and, if repair is required, applicable repair charges will be communicated before work begins.

An Air Conditioner contains several electrical, electronic, mechanical and refrigerant-related components. Components may fail due to:

  • Normal ageing
  • Wear and tear
  • Voltage fluctuations
  • Environmental conditions
  • Unexpected component failure
  • Other external causes
The occurrence of a fault after servicing does not, by itself, establish that the servicing process caused the fault.

Responsibility for Damage Caused During Service

Important: If any component of the AC—including the PCB (Printed Circuit Board), fan motor or any other component—is damaged directly due to negligence, improper handling or improper work by a BSD Enterprises technician during servicing, BSD Enterprises will take responsibility for the repair or replacement after reasonable technical inspection and verification.

This protection applies only to damage directly attributable to the technician's work and does not cover:

  • Pre-existing defects
  • Normal component failure
  • Voltage fluctuation or electrical surge
  • Customer-provided defective parts
  • Any cause unrelated to technician workmanship

Customer Acknowledgement

By accepting the service, the customer acknowledges that preventive servicing and cleaning are intended to maintain and improve the appliance's operating condition and are not a guarantee that the appliance will remain free from future faults or breakdowns.

Any repair or replacement identified as necessary will be separately communicated to the customer before the work is undertaken.

At BSD Enterprises, we aim to provide reliable, professional and transparent repair and maintenance services.

Where a service is performed by Lala Ji Aircon and invoiced by Lala Ji Aircon, BSD Enterprises may provide the customer with a separate 90-day service/workmanship guarantee, subject to the terms below and any specific warranty terms mentioned on the customer’s service documentation.

These terms are intended to clearly explain what is covered, what is excluded and how a customer can claim service under the guarantee.

2. WHAT THE 90-DAY GUARANTEE COVERS

Subject to these terms, the guarantee may cover:

  • Defective workmanship;
  • Improper installation attributable to the covered work;
  • Incorrect repair attributable to the service performed;
  • Recurrence of the same fault where the recurrence is directly attributable to the original covered repair;
  • Reasonable corrective labour/service required to rectify a qualifying workmanship defect.

Where a covered defect is established, BSD Enterprises may arrange inspection, re-service, correction or other appropriate remedial action.

3. SAME-FAULT / REPEAT-FAULT GUARANTEE

A repeat complaint will be considered under the guarantee where:

  1. The complaint relates to the same fault for which the original service was performed; and
  2. Inspection establishes that the recurrence is attributable to the original workmanship, diagnosis, installation or covered service.

A repeat complaint will not automatically be treated as a warranty claim merely because it occurs within 90 days.

Covered: AC was repaired for a specific electrical fault and the same repaired electrical fault recurs because of defective workmanship.
Not automatically covered: AC was repaired for a PCB-related fault and, two months later, the compressor develops a separate mechanical fault. The latter may constitute a new service requirement.

4. AIR CONDITIONER (AC) SERVICES

4.1 AC Repair

AC repair workmanship shall carry the standard 90-day service guarantee, unless a different period is expressly mentioned on the service documentation.

The guarantee applies to the specific repair performed and does not cover unrelated future faults.

4.2 AC GAS CHARGING / GAS TOP-UP

Gas charging/top-up is subject to special conditions.

A gas charge does not by itself guarantee that the AC will remain gas-tight for 90 days where an underlying leakage exists or develops.

Important: Gas charging and leak repair are separate services unless expressly combined on the invoice/job sheet. If BSD Enterprises specifically provides a written warranty for a leak repair, that particular warranty shall be governed by the terms stated on the relevant service document.

5. AC COMPRESSOR WARRANTY

A compressor replacement is not automatically covered by the standard 90-day workmanship guarantee for the entire compressor.

Where a compressor is replaced:

Where a compressor supplied by BSD Enterprises or its authorized service arrangement carries a separate manufacturer/supplier warranty, that warranty shall apply according to the manufacturer’s/supplier’s terms.

Compressor failure caused by:

may fall outside the applicable compressor warranty, depending upon the manufacturer’s/supplier’s warranty conditions.

6. AC PCB / CONTROL BOARD WARRANTY

Where a PCB or control board is repaired or replaced:

PCB warranty shall be determined by the applicable service document.

The standard 90-day service guarantee covers workmanship attributable to the covered PCB repair/replacement, unless otherwise stated.

PCB failure resulting from:

may not be covered.

Where the PCB is supplied with a separate manufacturer/supplier warranty, the manufacturer/supplier warranty shall apply to the component.

7. AC INSTALLATION WARRANTY

Where BSD Enterprises/its authorized service team provides AC installation, the standard 90-day guarantee may cover workmanship relating to:

The guarantee does not automatically cover:

  • pre-existing defects in the AC;
  • defective customer-provided material;
  • building wiring;
  • unsuitable electrical supply;
  • concealed piping;
  • third-party installation work;
  • structural problems;
  • water leakage caused by site conditions outside the installed work; or
  • subsequent alteration by another person.

8. REFRIGERATOR SERVICES

The standard 90-day service/workmanship guarantee applies to qualifying repair work performed on refrigerators.

It may cover:

It does not automatically cover subsequent failure of unrelated components.

Refrigerator gas/refrigerant work

Refrigerant charging and leak repair shall be treated separately.

Where refrigerant is charged without repairing an underlying leak, the guarantee does not automatically guarantee that the refrigerant will remain at the required level for 90 days.

Where a specific leak is repaired, the applicable warranty shall be determined according to the repair and warranty terms stated on the service documentation.

9. WASHING MACHINE SERVICES

The standard 90-day service/workmanship guarantee applies to qualifying repair work performed on washing machines.

It may cover:

The following may be excluded where applicable:

  • physical damage;
  • water damage caused by external leakage;
  • voltage fluctuation;
  • electrical surge;
  • misuse;
  • overloading;
  • unauthorized repair;
  • foreign objects;
  • corrosion;
  • damage caused by rodents/insects; and
  • normal wear and tear.

10. SPARE PARTS

The warranty applicable to a spare part shall depend upon the warranty expressly provided for that part.

Where a replacement part is supplied with a manufacturer/supplier warranty, the manufacturer’s/supplier’s warranty shall apply.

The standard 90-day BSD Enterprises service guarantee primarily relates to the covered service/workmanship, unless the particular part is expressly covered by BSD Enterprises for 90 days.

Customer-Supplied Parts

No warranty is provided by BSD Enterprises for:

of a part supplied by the customer.

Where BSD Enterprises agrees to install a customer-supplied part, any service guarantee shall be limited to the workmanship of the installation, subject to these terms.

11. CONSUMABLES AND NORMAL WEAR ITEMS

Consumable items and components subject to normal wear and deterioration may not carry the standard 90-day warranty unless expressly stated.

Examples may include:

12. PRE-EXISTING AND UNRELATED FAULTS

An appliance may have more than one fault.

The customer acknowledges that repair of one identified fault does not necessarily mean that all other components of the appliance have been inspected, repaired or guaranteed.

The guarantee therefore applies only to the specific service and fault covered by the original transaction.

13. MULTIPLE REPAIRS ON THE SAME APPLIANCE

Where several independent repairs are performed on the same appliance, each repair may have its own applicable warranty conditions.

A warranty applicable to one component shall not automatically extend to all other components of the appliance.

14. UNAUTHORIZED REPAIR AFTER SERVICE

The guarantee may become invalid to the extent that a defect is caused or materially affected by:

Customers are therefore requested to contact BSD Enterprises before arranging third-party repair of an appliance for which a warranty claim is pending.

15. VOLTAGE AND ELECTRICAL CONDITIONS

Electrical and electronic components may be affected by abnormal voltage, electrical surge, short circuit, power fluctuations or improper wiring.

Damage attributable to such conditions may not be covered by the service guarantee.

Customers are advised to maintain appropriate electrical protection and suitable power supply conditions for their appliances.

16. WATER, FIRE, RODENT, INSECT AND EXTERNAL DAMAGE

The guarantee does not cover damage resulting from external circumstances including:

unless expressly covered by a separate written warranty.

17. CUSTOMER MISUSE

The guarantee does not cover defects caused by:

18. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To claim service under the BSD Enterprises guarantee, the customer should contact BSD Enterprises through its official customer-service channel.

The customer should provide:

  1. Original invoice issued by Lala Ji Aircon;
  2. Service/job reference;
  3. Date of service;
  4. Customer name and contact number;
  5. Appliance details;
  6. Description of the complaint; and
  7. Any applicable written warranty/guarantee document.

The customer may be requested to provide photographs or videos where reasonably necessary for preliminary assessment.

19. INSPECTION IS REQUIRED

A complaint made within the 90-day period does not automatically establish a warranty claim.

BSD Enterprises or its authorized service personnel may inspect the appliance to determine whether:

  • the same fault has recurred;
  • the problem relates to the original service;
  • the defect is attributable to workmanship;
  • the component itself has failed; or
  • the problem is caused by an unrelated/external factor.

The final warranty determination shall be made based on the actual service performed, available records and reasonable technical inspection, subject always to applicable law.

20. WARRANTY REMEDY

Where a claim is found to be covered, BSD Enterprises may provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • inspection;
  • re-service;
  • correction of workmanship;
  • adjustment;
  • repair of the covered defect; or
  • coordination of an applicable part/manufacturer warranty.

The appropriate remedy will depend upon the nature of the defect.

The standard service guarantee does not automatically provide entitlement to:

  • replacement of the entire appliance;
  • replacement of every component;
  • refund of the complete service charge; or
  • compensation for unrelated consequential expenses,

except where required under applicable law or expressly agreed in writing.

21. TRANSPORTATION AND SPECIAL ACCESS

Where warranty service requires extraordinary transportation, lifting, dismantling, crane/lifting equipment, specialized access or movement of the appliance beyond the normal service arrangement, the applicable charges, if any, shall be communicated to the customer before undertaking such additional work.

22. WARRANTY DOES NOT RESET AUTOMATICALLY

If a covered warranty repair is performed during the original 90-day period, the original warranty period shall not automatically restart for another 90 days unless a fresh written warranty is expressly provided.

Any additional warranty period, if applicable, shall be stated in writing.

23. NO CASH VALUE

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, a service warranty is intended primarily to provide an appropriate service remedy and does not have an automatic cash value.

24. CUSTOMER-SERVICE COMMITMENT

We aim to handle genuine warranty complaints fairly and promptly.

Where a customer raises a valid complaint within the applicable warranty period, BSD Enterprises will make reasonable efforts to arrange inspection and appropriate corrective action in accordance with these terms.

25. RELATIONSHIP WITH Lala Ji Aircon

Where the customer’s service was performed and invoiced by Lala Ji Aircon:

  • Service-executing/invoicing entity: Lala Ji Aircon
  • Service guarantee provider: BSD Enterprises, only to the extent expressly stated in these terms or the customer’s written guarantee.

BSD Enterprises and Lala Ji Aircon remain separate business entities.

The customer’s invoice issued by Lala Ji Aircon should be retained as proof of the underlying service transaction.

26. STATUTORY CUSTOMER RIGHTS

Nothing in these Service Guarantee Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any right, remedy or protection available to a customer under applicable law where such right, remedy or protection cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

These terms are intended to explain the scope of the voluntary service guarantee provided by BSD Enterprises and should be read together with the applicable invoice, quotation, service report and written warranty documentation.

FAQ Air Conditioner
  1. AC should be serviced at least once a year during the start of summers.
  2. It depends upon following requirements,
    1. Operating time of AC: In India we have all kind of persons living near us, some keeps their AC ‘ON’ for whole day, and some operate only during night, and some for two hours before going to sleep.
      So, the funda is simple as long the operating time of AC more frequently is the requirement of service.
    2. Surrounding conditions: There are different surrounding conditions according to the situation of the building i.e.,
      1. Park facing
      2. Main road near them
      3. Commercial Building in market
      4. Commercial building in Motor Market
      5. Society near highway
      6. House near farm
      7. House in Sector
      8. Near a under construction building

Different surroundings, different amount of dust, dirt, pollution etc., More is the value of dust, dirt and pollution, more is the requirement of service of AC.

AC or “air conditioner” works on the principle of compression of refrigerant gas. It has many different parts assembled together to create cooling effect. Main parts are:

  1. Compressor
  2. Condenser Coil
  3. Expansion Valve (Capillary Tube)
  4. Evaporator Coil
  5. Condenser fan Motor with fan Blade
  6. Evaporator Blower Motor with blower
  7. PCB (Control Circuit)

If any of the above part becomes faulty, AC stops working and,
with cleaning of these parts smooth working of AC is insured.
If we do not get our AC service regularly, it leads to failure of AC through following steps,

  1. Compressor starts working extra to compensate the heat loss due to dirty condenser coil.
  2. Compressor starts overheating.
  3. During which starting and running capacitor might get burnt, and
  4. Compressor pumps oil with refrigerant.
  5. Oil gets stuck in part Capillary Tube, in this case Capillary Tube should be replaced with oil and gas.
  6. Now if Capillary Tube is not replaced, it results in full choking of gas, which leads to further overloading of compressor.
  7. In that event, even compressor might get burnt out. In this case compressor has to be replaced.

There are many possibilities that can cause AC system to freeze up:

  1. Dirty filter: Dirty Filter results in low air flow, which further results in freezing up of Evaporator coil
  2. Low refrigerant: Whenever there is low refrigerant value in AC, it results in low discharge pressure/temprature and suction pressure, which further results in freezing up of AC.
  3. Dirty evaporator coil: When evaporator coil will become dirty, there is low airflow and it freezes up.
  4. Defective blower motor or relay: A blower motor running at low speed, sometimes not running at all causes freezing.
Whenever the pressure/ volume of refrigerant gas is low then the required pressure/ volume, gas charging is required.
Here main thing to note is how gas pressure / volume get low:

  1. Leakage: Leakage of gas can be due to several reasons, i.e.,
    1. Loose flaring nut joints: Split AC, sometimes flaring nut joint get loose due to overheating of compressor/ outdoor unit due to following reasons,
      1. When outdoor unit is placed under direct sun
      2. When AC is used above its capacity, i.e., when AC is running regularly for long hours, when area is too big for AC to attain/maintain desired temperature
    2. Leak Brazing joints: Brazing is done at several points in outdoor and indoor unit, and when copper pipe is required to be joined, gas is leaked if at any point brazing is not done properly
    3. Puncture of Copper pipe
    4. Puncture of condenser coil/ evaporator coil.
  2. Choking of Gas: When Compressor starts overheating.
    1. Compressor pumps oil with refrigerant.
    2. Oil gets stuck in part Capillary Tube, resulting in choking of gas.
  3. Compressor Replacement: When ever compressor is replaced, Refrigerant gas charging is required.
  4. Increase in Length of copper pipe connecting indoor unit and outdoor unit

Electricity bill can be reduced by following ways:

  1. Installation of proper capacity of AC with respect to heat load of area.
    Heat Load calculation can be done by a professional through measurement of room but when choosing for home there is no requirement of such professionals. There is simple funda:

    1. 1 ton AC = 10*10*10 feet room
    2. 1.5 ton AC= 15*15*10 feet room
    3. 2.0 ton AC=20*20*10 feet room
  2. Operate AC at 22°C to 25°C Many of users think that, operating the AC at 18°C would cool the room fast as compared to 22°C setting, which is completely wrong. It doesn’t make any difference if you operate your AC at any temp. On the amount of cooling that your AC provide at a time. Only difference that it makes is,
    1. if user set the desired temp at 22°C, the compressor would stop at 21°C at again restart at 23°C
    2. and if user set the desired temp. at 18°C, the compressor would stop at 17°C at again restart at 19°C.
    3. So if user operates the AC at 22°C to 25°C the compressor would stop early as compared to 18°C, which helps in reducing the electricity bill.

Compressor of AC stops working due to following reasons:

  1. Compressor is fully damaged
    1. Compressor motor winding is brunt out
    2. Compressor piston is stuck
  2. Due to electrical faults
    1. Thimble brunt out
    2. Connecting Wire Break
    3. Faulty Starting Relay
    4. Faulty Starting Capacitor
    5. Faulty running Capacitor
    6. Faulty Programmed Control Circuit Board (PCB)
Main tip from our Team is, If any customer keeps on using faulty AC, one fault leads to another fault, resulting in increase in cost of repairing,
So, whenever there is less cooling in AC, Shutdown the AC and
Please feel free to call us

Water Leakage in AC can be due to following reasons:

  1. Dirty Indoor Unit
  2. Dirty Drain Tray
  3. Dirty Back Drain tray
  4. Choked Drain Pipe
  5. Improper Installation of AC

Proper cleaning of indoor AC-unit means

  1. Cleaning of Dust Filters
  2. Cleaning Of Evaporator Coil, From Front as well as From Back
  3. Cleaning of Front drain Tray and back drain tray
  4. Cleaning of PCB Section
  5. Cleaning of Blower
  6. Cleaning of Whole plastic body
  7. Checking of Copper Pipe Insulation behind Indoor Unit
  8. Cleaning of Flexible Drain Pipe attached with Indoor unit
